Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Surrey Food Bank! Volunteers are the heart of what we do, and we’re deeply grateful for your willingness to contribute your time and energy to support our community.

Important Information Before You Apply:

• Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, you are welcome to volunteer alongside a parent or guardian.
• Court-Ordered Volunteer Hours: While we appreciate your interest, we are unable to accept applications for court-ordered volunteer time.
• Criminal Record Check: All volunteers are required to complete a criminal record check prior to starting. This mandatory requirement is essential because we work closely with a vulnerable population, and ensuring their safety and well-being is our top priority.
• Current Clients: We are so grateful for the support and enthusiasm of everyone in our community. However, at this time, we are unable to accept volunteers who are currently receiving services from the Surrey Food Bank. This policy ensures we can maintain clear boundaries while continuing to support you in the best way possible.

Corporate and School Volunteer Groups

We are pleased to accept corporate groups and schools once again to the food bank to volunteer. Groups of 5-10 people are welcome to come in and help us sort and distribute food between 8:30 AM and 1 PM.  For scheduling and more information, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@surreyfoodbank.org
